Yo! Haha I actually don’t do much art on the daily, I have numerous unfinished pieces that have yet to be touched. I’d say on average, I work on art about once a week. Back in hs, I worked about 5+ hours a weekday for a whole semester. Crazy shit.
As for my inspirations.. I’m pretty oldschool. Dali’s bold, surrealistic style was something I always wanted to accomplish with my own art. Funny thing is, my art teachers back in hs used to compare my art/attitude to Khalo… sharing a shitload of emotion on canvas or what have you, “an urban version” of the late Frida. Its definitely safe to say she’s one of my big influences as well. Uhm lets see.. theres also a lot new, pretty underground artists out there that I truly admire and sometimes envy. Off the top of my head.. Madlock, Abrescy, Maldonado, Faith47, Torneros, Rudolph Pena.. honestly too many to list.
For all of my other inspirations.. I find inspiration in the smallest, most simple things. People, my surroundings, music, things that spark a memory, the color of a sunset, garbage, dreams. It just happens haha :)
